Over 20,000 Attend IPM Hortiflora Expo in Shanghai

Over 20,000 Attend IPM Hortiflora Expo in Shanghai

Sam Ahilan Li Bei China

Sam Ahilan Li Bei China

It was a busy few days for 600 exhibitors and an eager crowd of 20,000 plus attendees filling the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre April 24 through 26th.  24 countries were represented by exhibitors. FibreDust LLC had their entire China team on site along with CEO Sam Ahilan. Many new business connections were made and Fibredust looks forward to developing solid relationships with our new contacts.

China is already a large importer of coir. India’s exports of coir products to China increased over 32 percent in the 2013-2014 financial year. During 2013-14, a total of 192,110 tons of coir products were shipped to China, exceeding exports to the United States for the first time.

While doing business in China can be a challenge, with regulations varying from province to province,  culture differences, and communication nuances, its a huge market with much potential. Patience, understanding and the desire to personally engage with our customer is a forte of Fibredust and developing relationships with our customers in China will be a worthwhile endeavor for all parties.

FibreDust Gets Special Recognition Booth Award at Florida’s 2014 FNGLA Show

FibreDust LLC was honored with a Special Recognition booth award at The Landscape Show in Orlando, sponsored by FNGLA. Featuring The City Garden, grow bags, hydroponics and more.  This was quite an honor considering that there are only 15 awards given and over 400 exhibitors.   Supporting FNGLA is a beneficial partnership to share our product with the horticulture, agriculture and hydroponics industries in Florida.
